Internships

The Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees is currently seeking individuals who are interested in interning at our organization.   Internships are available for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.   We prefer interns to work a minimum of 15 hours a week and stick to a specified schedule (exceptions may be possible upon explanation).  The organization prefers individuals who are perusing studies in the following areas:

Currently there is an additional need for students who are pursuing studies in:

Juniors, Seniors, or exceptional Sophomores will be considered.   Possible placements along with their job descriptions can be found on the Job Description sheet that you can download.

If a student is interested in a particular job they should indicate this on the application cover sheet in the box located below the heading ‘Internship Description’.

Preference for a particular position can also be indicated in the essay.  Not all possible positions are listed on the attached sheets.   Some positions and jobs may be created based on a particular student and the needs of the organization at the time of application. 

Prospective interns who match our organizations needs will be contacted for an interview.  After the interview process a final decision will be made. 

We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2008 Semester.  We will continue to accept applications through September 5, 2008.
